OUTING CLUB EVENTS 10/13 - 10/19

ANNOUNCEMENTS (several.. read closely!!)

Wilderness First Responder course - Winter Study LEAD 18: The Williams Outing Club will once again be offering a fully accredited Emergency Medical Response course under the course catalog heading of LEAD 18.  First year students are eligible to take this class. The course begins Jan. 5 and ends Jan. 13 - classes will meet from 9am - 4:30pm this includes the weekend and 2 night time rescue scenarios.  Students MUST be able to attend every class .  After successful completion of the course, you will be given a Wilderness First Responder certificate, valid for 3 years and CPR certification valid for 2 years AND Winter Study credit! WOC PE class offerings still have openings - register on line through People Soft:
Monday - Indoor climbing, Hiking
Wed - 	Hiking
Thursday - Hiking, Indoor climbing
Friday - Adventure sampler (hiking, climbing, canoeing and more!), Wilderness First Aid/CPR
 Overland Information Meeting: Tuesday, Oct. 21, 7pm at Overland (63 Spring St) Overland hires exceptional college students to lead summer hiking, biking, service, language and writing programs to students in grades 4-12. -Equipment Room hours: Equipment room located Paresky level M. Open Mon - Thur 12:30 - 1:30 and Fri 12 -2.  We will be open during Reading Period.



THURSDAY:
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe climbing wall  Towne Field House 8 - 10pm Town (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)

-Polar Bear Swim: Meet at Paresky steps at 9pm. Contact Galen (gts1) with questions.

FRIDAY:
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble: Meet on Chapin steps at 6:00 AM.  Dress for the weather, bring a water bottle, headlamp (it will be dark!), and a cup for hot drinks.  Return to campus by 8:30AM.  Contact Scott at [log in to unmask] for questions?

-Learn to Slackline: Come learn to slackline with Max and Raja Friday at 2:00 PM between Morgan Hall and Rt. 2. All experience levels welcome! Contact Max (mbf2) for more info (Event is conditional on dry weather).
