ANNOUNCEMENTS:

WANTED: WOC Winter PE Ski (alpine, telemark, nordic), Snowboard, Snowshoe instructors.  If you have expertise and past teaching experience AND would like to share that with others - please come by the WOC office - 2nd floor Paresky to pick up an application to teach AND receive 1PE credit, reduced ski pass cost, get paid AND build your resume!

NEEDED! WINTER CARNIVAL THEME IDEAS - Sochi (Abby) or Sochi (Caroline) can create a Winter Carnival extravaganza for the ages or at least for ALL ages…email aak3 or ccw1 with inspired visions of a Williams winter carnival to come!

FRIDAY:  	
	EPIC SUNRISE HIKE up and down Mt. Greylock

		Meeting 3:20AM Chapin steps
		Bring a filled water bottle, head lamp (trail will be dark!!), cup for hot drink and dress for the weather!
		We will return to campus by 8:45AM

SATURDAY:
	Know your trees…
		Meet at the Rosenburg Center/Hopkins Forest 9AM 
 		Join Michael Wojtech, Author and Naturalist, in a program, “Bark: Get to know your trees,” Saturday, November 16th, 9:00-1:00 at Hopkins Forest.  			Michael will lead us in an exploration of bark — which is visible in any season — teaching the skills necessary to distinguish species by their bark and 				explaining why such a variety of bark characteristics exist. An indoor introduction will be followed by an outdoor walk to learn the art of identifying trees 			using Wojtech’s innovative approach, detailed in his recent book “Bark: a Field Guide to the Trees of the Northeast”.
