CARNIVAL STARTS TOMORROW NIGHT! There are still a few spaces in Learn to
Ski, and almost all the other events. Find links below to sign up for this
weekend's events! All events are open to the Williams College community.

We will be scheduling short interviews with all applicants February

A peer recommendation is a part of your application. Please ensure your

Interested in becoming an Instructor Monitor at the WOC Bouldering Barn?

There will be a training for anyone interested on February 19 from 4:15 - 5
PM.  The training will be brief but mandatory.  In addition to the training
session, all new IMs are required to work at the Barn with an experienced
IM for two sessions and pass a practical examination before being hired and
co-leading their own session.  Please fill out this application

Bouldering Barn Staff/Faculty lunchtime hours

Bouldering Barn Open Hours

Come visit the WOC Bouldering Facility located on Walden St. and Hoxsey.
Climbing shoes and chalk are provided. Bring a water bottle! There will
only be room for 10 climbers and 1 staff person in the space at one time.

Death Star Trench Traverse @ Bouldering Barn - 6:00-9:00 pm

Come to the Bouldering Bar for a Star Wars themed climbing night!

for this hike up the Pine Cobble that culminates in a one of a kind view of
the Winter Carnival Fireworks show!!!


Open Skate w/WOC x WCFM - 8:00-9:00 pm (this event has been shortened to
allow everyone to attend the fireworks at 9)

WOC x WCFM brings you Open Skate at the Lansing Chapman Rink. Ice skates
available first come, first served. NOTE: This event will end at 9pm so
everyone can go watch the FIREWORKS!


Campfire & Hot Cocoa w WOC x BSU on Poker Flats - 8:00-9:00 pm

Come down and enjoy a warm fire and hot cocoa at Poker Flats, brought to
you by WOC x BSU.


FIREWORKS @ Poker Flats - 9:00-9:30 pm

An event that requires no explanation! Brought to you with support from ACE
& RLT, and made possible by the efforts of Facilities and Campus Safety -
thank you!!!


WINTER STARNIVAL - Friday

First Bus to Jiminy for Skiing & Spectating - 10:00 AM

One school bus (first come, first served) will be departing from behind
Chapin (Mission Park Drive) to bring folks to Jiminy for skiing (see pass
info below) and/or to watch the ski races. There will be buses and/or vans
back at 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 4:30 pm.


Ski Passes during Winter Carnival - FRIDAY ONLY

For anyone NOT in the Learn to Ski group, there will be discounted Jiminy
lift tickets for sale for Friday of Winter Carnival - $30 full mountain
pass w/o rentals, and $40 full mountain pass with rentals. These will be
for sale at Jiminy during Winter Carnival - you do not need to sign up, and
financial assistance is not available for these passes. YOU MUST SHOW YOUR
WILLIAMS ID TO GET THIS DISCOUNTED RATE.


Cookout on Pareksy Lawn 11:30-2:00 pm  - Sign up for lunch!!!

WOC will be grilling on the Paresky Lawn from 11:30-2:00. We need your meal
swipes in order to make a barbeque cookout happen on Paresky quad. Sign up
for lunch or donate a swipe here <https://forms.gle/REpQMXuoHrdEJrUx8>.


Second Bus & Vans to Jiminy for Skiing (including Learn to Ski) &
Spectating - 12:30 PM

One school bus (guaranteed spots only for those in the Learn to Ski
Program) & two vans will be departing from behind Chapin (Mission Park
Drive) to bring folks to Jiminy for skiing (see pass info above) and/or to
watch the ski races There will be buses and/or vans back at 1:00 pm, 2:30
pm, and 4:30 pm.


Learn to Ski - Advance sign up REQUIRED - 5 SPOTS REMAINING - 12:30-5:00 pm

For new/first time skiers only, includes transportation by bus to Jiminy.
Space is limited to 25 participants and is available first come, first
served. There is a $30 fee for the lift ticket, rentals, and instruction.
Financial assistance is available. Click on the application link for
additional details.

Spectator & Ski Van to Prospect on Saturday - Advance sign up REQUIRED -
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Transportation to Prospect Mountain to cheer for the nordic ski races. If
you’re interested in skiing at Prospect, you can grab cross country skis
from the WOC Equipment Room from 9am-1pm on Friday or at 8:30am on

Meet outside Paresky to participate in this Winter Carnival original. Race
in teams of three to win prizes & glory. Prizes go to the winners & the
group with the best costumes (thus, costumes are encouraged). No prior sign
ups needed.


WINTER STARNIVAL - Sunday

Winter Trail Running - 3:00 - 4:00 pm

Yes. You heard it here folks. You know you want to come. Nothin like
getting outside and moving quickly this Berkshire winter. Pull UPPPP to the
most epic Stone Hill trail run from 3-4pm with Charlie and Claire!
