Announcements

Taconic Overnight 🏕: Do you want to leave campus for the day? Do you want
to see beautiful views of New York? Do you want to stand in three states…at
once?! Well, here is your opportunity! We will be leading a short,
low-mileage backpacking trip leaving on Friday April 21st at 4:15pm and
returning Saturday in the early afternoon. We will have an easy hike to our
shelter, before waking up the next morning for a moderate hike along the
Taconic Crest. Gear will be available to loan from the equipment room. Sign

Wilderness First Aid course - WOC will be offering a 2 day WFA (Wilderness
First Aid) course  Sunday, April 23 and Sunday April 30 from 9AM - 3:30PM.
Cost is $70 for the class - please contact [log in to unmask] directly to
reserve a spot and if you have any questions, by NOON Friday, April 14.



Bouldering Barn opening!  The climbing wall in the Field House is out of
commission for the time being but WOC is opening a new climbing facility
this week!  The Bouldering Barn is located on Walden St and Hoxsey.  The
hours will be M & W 7 - 9 pm, T & Th 4 - 7 pm (4 - 5:30 is non-cis male
hours only) and Sa & Su 2 - 5 pm.  There will only be room for 10 climbers
and 1 IM in the space at one time.  Before walking to the Bouldering Barn

Cowboy Coffee Makin’! Tired of having to drive to Pittsfield for Starbucks?
Come make Starbuks coffee ~the outdoor way~ this Friday at 8:30 AM by

(Not So) Polar Plunge, 4:10 PM! Looking for something to do after wrapping
up your classes on a hot, sunny Friday? Meet outside of WCMA at 4:10 PM for
a plunge into the Green River!

*New Trip* Sunset on the Taconic Crest [image: 🌅]

Have you been craving to see a sunset? Do you want to relax at a beautiful
overlook? To celebrate the wonderful weather this weekend, join us for a
relaxing sunset trip on the Taconic Crest Trail! Sunset is at 7:35, so
let’s leave from paresky steps at 6:30pm for return by 8:30pm. We’ll park,
hike on a moderate trail for 5 minutes, and then rest with the sunset
(hopefully) in view. Wear comfortable clothing and good shoes for the short
walk. Feel free to bring a book, a journal, or a beach towel. The equipment
room has hammocks and camping chairs to loan; open hours are listed
