Below is our calendar of upcoming Outing Club events.


For the week of 9/14/09 - 9/20/09:

MONDAY

- Morning Run; meet outside of Paresky at 7:15AM.  Email Ali at 10ahd for
details.


TUESDAY

- Brown Bear Swim, come for a refreshing dip in the Green River before it
gets cold!  Meet on Paresky steps at 10PM and don’t forget to bring warm
clothes and a towel.  Questions to Fiona at few1.

- Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall begins!  Hours are 8-10 PM in the
Field House.



WEDNESDAY

- Weekly WOC meeting; 7PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are
welcome!  Contact
Ali at 10ahd to know more.

- First fall Stone Hill campout; meet in Paresky Lobby at 11PM- snacks and
music are included!  Email Joe at 10jms if you have any questions.



THURSDAY

- Bouldering at 4PM- meet in the equipment room; email Ali at 10ahd.

- WOC Siesta; come join us for naptime on Paresky Lawn between 1-2PM!

- Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House 8-10 PM.



FRIDAY

- Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble.  Meet at Chapin Steps at 6AM, we will return
to campus by 8:45AM.

- Afternoon Bouldering; meet at 4PM in the equipment room.  Contact Joe at
10jms for more info.

- Outdoor Outreach: 3-6PM.  Get outside and have fun with kids from the
Williamstown Youth Center!  Contact Sarah at set1 if you would like to
volunteer.



SATURDAY

- Overnight Mt Greylock Backpacking Trip!  We will leave Saturday in the
early afternoon and get back in the early afternoon Sunday.  Email Alex at
10anb or Dan at drw1 if you are interested.

- "Beyond Your Backyard" bird walk, 7:30-9:30 AM.  Join Berkshire County's
Hoffmann Bird Club on a free field trip for beginner birders. Meet at Eph's
Pond, near Cole Field. For more information contact Abby at atm1.

- Guided hikes with the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation; 2-5 PM.  Learn
about the geology, nature, and history of our area presented by local
experts- including some Williams Professors!  There is a $15 hike
registration fee which includes a tee shirt and fun events at Sheep Hill.

ANNOUNCEMENTS



Check out our brand new website at woc.williams.edu! Here you can find great
information about what WOC does and how to get involved.



The WOC equipment room is open 12:30-1:30PM Monday-Thursday and 12-2PM
Friday.  Come visit us in Paresky basement (one level down the stairs
by the mailroom) and check out some gear or become a member!



Questionable weather? Event cancellations will be posted on the WOC office
door so be sure to check there if things are looking dubious.
