WOC-end Update 1/16 - 1/19

Hello WOC family!  Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we
have going on this weekend.   All events are open to WOC members. For more
information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the
equipment room.

Announcements:


*THERE WILL BE NO WOC WINTER STUDY PE CLASSES ON MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY:* On
1/20 all WOC Winter Study PE classes will be cancelled. Busses will still
be going to Jiminy and the Equipment Room will still be open. All students
who have registered for a Monday class will receive an email with more
details. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions or
concerns, please contact Dave at da1.

Williams Climbing Club (WCC) and WOC Reel Rock Film Showing: Join us on January
17th for a free showing of Reel Rock 14, a celebration of climbing through
film. This year's Reel Rock features three short films: The High Road,
about Nina Williams's highball bouldering; The Nose Speed Record,
documenting Alex Honnold and Tommy Caldwell's quest to climb El Cap as fast
as possible, no matter the cost; and United States of Joe's, exploring a
clash of cultures between locals and climbers in rural Utah.

Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:00pm. Tickets are free and available

Moon Gazing: Have you ever wanted to look at the moon? We will be looking
at the moon and surrounding balls of gas and flames on Cole Field. Come
join us at 10:00pm meet at Resky. Email sch4 or ddl1 with questions.





Friday:

Weekly sunrise hike wake up and down Pine Cobble (witness sunrise at
7:22am) Meet on Paresky steps at 6:00 AM.  Dress for the chill and snowy
trail,  bring extra layers, headlamp, filled water bottle and a cup for hot
drinks.  Return to campus by 8:30AM. Contact Seamus, [log in to unmask] TO
RESERVE A SPOT by Thursday, 9AM.



Sunday:

Trip to Prospect Mountain Cross-Country Ski Area Keep your fingers crossed
- snow is in the forecast! W.O.C. is providing van transportation to Prospect
Mountain <https://prospectmountain.com/> each Sunday during Winter Study.
Vans depart the Paresky steps at 8 AM and return by 12 PM.  A trail pass
for Williams students is $10.  Rentals are available in the W.O.C.
Equipment Room and must be picked up on Friday between 12 - 2 PM.
(Prospect also has rentals available for a $10 fee for our group). To sign

Friday. Space is limited and will be allocated in order of sign-up.
