OUTING CLUB EVENTS 01/15 - 01/18
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-Winter Fun in the Adirondack Mountains: Join us during Dead Week for three days of winter activities in New York State’s beautiful Adirondack mountains from Feb 1-3 (Sun - Tues). Activities will include snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Temperatures will be cold and experience is helpful but not required. We will be staying at the cozy (and warm!) ADK Trail Crew Lodge. Only 12 places available. Contact Owen at oak1 by this Saturday if you would like to come…space is very limited! There will be a fee of $60. Financial aid will be available according to need.
**Please indicate whether you are a college licensed van driver and would be willing to help drive.**

-Equipment Room hours: Equipment room located Paresky level M. Open Mon - Fri 12:00 - 2:00.   Bamboo ($15) or Under Armour ($22) tee shirts can be purchased in the Equipment room during open hours! 

-Climbing Wall hours have changed for Winter Study.  Please see individual daily schedules below 

MONDAY:
Open climbing at the Nate Lowe climbing wall  Towne Field House 9-11pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)


THURSDAY:

FRIDAY:
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble Meet on Chapin steps at 6:00 AM.  Dress for the weather, good hiking boots (snow & icy trail) bring a headlamp, filled water bottle and a cup for hot drinks.  Return to campus by 8:45AM.  Questions? Contact [log in to unmask] 

SATURDAY:
-Nordic Skate ski clinic - Learn to skate ski with former high school race stars Will Earle and Ben Dalzell!!   Meet at the WOC equipment room at 12:45PM to gear up and return to campus by 4:30, Cost for current WOC members is $10 for Prospect trail fees! SUNDAY:-
-Ascent of the Thunderbolt! 
Come join WOC on a strenuous hike up the famed Thunderbolt Ski trail to the Summit of Mt. Greylock - leaving campus at 9AM - return around 1:30PM.  Due to poor ski snow conditions this will be a hike up and fun slide/hike down.  If interested please reserve a spot by Friday noon - questions?  email [log in to unmask]
