WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR 04/23- 04/28
Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we
have going on this week. All events are open to WOC members. For more
information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the
equipment room
Announcements:
Jennifer Phar Davis, Hiker, Author, Adventure speaker: In 2011, Jennifer
covered the 2,185-mile Appalachian Trail in forty-six days, eleven hours,
and twenty minutes, maintaining a remarkable average of forty-seven miles
per day. By doing this, she claimed the overall (male or female) fastest
known time on the “A.T.” and became the first woman to set the mark.
Jennifer will be coming to Williams to share her stories of adventure and
endurance on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:30pm Paresky Auditorium, co-sponsored
by WOC and Athletics. (free and open to the public)
Climbing: The Nate Lowe climbing wall will be open 8 -10 pm T - Th. The
wall will not be open Monday 4/23 due to Purple Key Fair. 8-9 pm on
Thursdays are reserved for people who do not identify as cis-gender males.
9-10 pm on Thursdays and every other night is open and welcome to all.
WOC Equipment Room: The Equipment Room will be open M - Th 12:30 -1:30,
and F 12 -2. WOC memberships may be purchased at the Equipment Room as
may the ever popular WOC Bamboo T-shirt. Email [log in to unmask]

Tuesday:
Slacklining! There will be slacklines up outside of Morgan starting at 4 on
Tuesday. All levels of experience welcome! Come and enjoy what should be a
beautiful day. Contact Alex (ads4) with any questions.
Wednesday:
Jennifer Phar Davis, guest speaker! 7:30pm in the Paresky Auditorium!
Thursday:
Star watch walk!! Join BSU, WEC, and WOC for an epic Star Walk as part of
Earth Week! This will be a short hike up Stone Hill, with a fire, s'mores
and star gazing at the top. Meet on Paresky steps at 8pm, bring a filled
water bottle and dress for the weather. Contact Maya Spalding-Fecher (mns4)
if you have any questions!
Polar Bear Swim: Come one come all to the green river for a quick swim!
Meet at the WCMA steps at 8:30 if interested. Bring a towel. Contact Kerry
at kas6 if you have any questions!
Friday:
Sunrise (6:02 am sunrise) 3 mi Hike up and down Pine Cobble Meet on
Paresky steps at 6:00 AM. Dress for the weather -. Bring a water bottle
and a cup for hot drinks. Return to campus by 8:30AM. Contact Scott,

Sunday:
Lunar Hike! : Come ramble up Pine Cobble under the full moon this Sunday!
Hike about three miles roundtrip; headlamps (and maybe some snacks?)
provided! Wear a warm layer. Leaving around 10:30 PM from Paresky steps.

to try but would like to borrow a pair of hiking boots.
