WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR April 11 - April 14, 2024 Sunrise hike is cancelled this week due to the rain/mud, but we added a hike for Saturday, check it out! Also space available in the Wilderness First Aid course beginning this weekend - details below. ------------------------------ Announcements Wilderness First Aid Certification Class Sunday, April 14 and April 21 from 9AM - 3:30PM. Cost is $70. This is an excellent opportunity to learn basic wilderness medical skills and earn a nationally recognized certification in Wilderness Medicine from SOLO (Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities <https://soloschools.com/training-information/>), which satisfies the requirements of many summer adventure camp leader positions. There are limited spots left - PLEASE reach out to Scott Lewis ([log in to unmask]) if you would like to attend! WOOLF Needs You!! Maybe you missed it in January, or maybe you weren’t sure about your spring plans, or maybe you are just super motivated by today's weather to spend more time outdoors! Whatever your reason, WOOLF is still looking for Spring Staff to help out with logistics for WOOLF leader training in May. Climbing shoes and chalk are provided. Bring a water bottle! There will only be room for 10 climbers and 1 staff person in the space at one time. Join us for a beginner hike in Grafton Lakes State park! Our three mile hike will include epic 360 views from the top of a fire tower. Depending on the weather, we might swim or polar plunge after our hike in a nearby pond. Meet at Paresky steps at 10 AM, and we should be back by 2:30 latest.
