The WOC Board has our Board Retreat this weekend - which means no outings this weekend 😢 but we’ll be planning lots of great stuff for the spring 😁

Local Summer Internships - Information Session:  March 5, 5:30 p.m.  CES Matt Cole Living room

CES – The Center for Environmental Studies–funds dozens of summer internships and research positions! $535/week for up to 9 weeks of full time work.


See the website for position postings—many are local (campus housing) and others national. Many positions are from CES Alumni–specifically for Williams students!

Bouldering Barn Open Hours

Come visit the WOC Bouldering Facility located on Walden St. and Hoxsey.  Climbing shoes and chalk are provided. Bring a water bottle! There will only be room for 10 climbers and 1 staff person in the space at one time.  Before walking to the Bouldering Barn click here to check the (mostly) current number of users in the building.

Tue & Thu 4 - 7 pm

Fri 2 - 4 pm

Sat & Sun 2 - 5 pm

Wednesday

Sheep Hill Journaling & Art

Join us for a short, lovely trip off-campus devoted to reflection and enjoying the outdoors! We’ll drive a van to Sheep Hill and hang out & journal and draw. We can provide some basic art supplies (markers & pens), but feel free to bring your own journal or drawing materials. Meet on Paresky steps at 2pm, and please sign up here. Thursday

Learn to roll a whitewater kayak

You’ve already got the flipping over part - but how to get it back up right - that’s the trick!!  Come to the college pool, 7:30 PM with a bathing suit and we’ll start the learning!! Questions - email [log in to unmask] (no sign up required)


Friday

Weekly Sunrise Hike

A “wake up” and down trek on Pine Cobble.  Meet on Paresky steps (Baxter lawn side) at 5:55 AM for a dawn good sunrise hike - (sunrise at 6:16 AM). This is a 3 mile round trip hike with one thousand foot elevation gain to get your blood flowing and endorphins coursing through your veins!! Dress for the chilly weather and wear good footwear for a trail that will be icy,  wet, muddy and rocky! Bring a filled water bottle and a cup for hot drinks. Return to campus by 8:45AM. Slack-off of your Friday work by slacklining by Willy and Mission Hill this Friday afternoon at 4 pm. No need to sign up. Bring your friends!
