Announcements

Bouldering Barn hours for Staff/Faculty.  Thursday from 11:30 - 1:30.  Sign up here.  S/F annual WOC memberships are $15 or $25 for S/F members with a partner.

There is a new Spontaneous Outings Groupme! Please join!

Have you ever felt like the day was so nice that you just had to be outside? Do you want to know if any random or spontaneous adventures are happening in the moment? Or do you want to get the most up to date info about WOC and trips? The previous Spontaneous Outings Groupme has been discontinued and we have a shiny brand new one that we want everyone to join!! The WOC Equipment Room will be open M- Th 12:30 - 1:30 & F 12 - 2.

Monday:

Bouldering Barn Open Hours 7- 9pm!  Come visit the new WOC Bouldering Facility located on Walden St. and Hoxsey. There will be only room for 10 climbers and 1 IM in the space at one time.  Before walking to the Bouldering Barn go here to check the (mostly) current number of users in the building.  

Tuesday:

Bouldering Barn Open Hours 4 - 7pm!  Come visit the new WOC Bouldering Facility located on Walden St. and Hoxsey. There will only be room for 10 climbers and 1 IM in the space at one time.  Before walking to the Bouldering Barn go here to check the (mostly) current number of users in the building.  

Wednesday:

Bouldering Barn Open Hours 7- 9pm!  Come visit the new WOC Bouldering Facility located on Walden St. and Hoxsey. There will only be room for 10 climbers and 1 IM in the space at one time.  Before walking to the Bouldering Barn go here to check the (mostly) current number of users in the building.  

Thursday:

POSITIVELY PLEASANT PINE COBBLE HIKE! Join WOC for a late afternoon saunter up and down Pine Cobble. Celebrate the last Thursday of classes and enjoy some good weather! Meet @ WOC equipment room at 3:00 PM. Bring sturdy shoes for a ~3 mile hike with 1200 ft elevation gain. Be prepared for rocky/muddy trails and bring the energy! Friday: NO sunrise hike this friday.. epic sunrise on Monday, 5/15 - trip is filled

LDOC CELEBRATION CAMPFIRE AT STONE HILL ‼️ Join WOC at the top of Stone Hill (behind The Clark) for a last-day-of-classes campfire at 8 PM. There should be a gorgeous sunset, s’mores, and maybe even some 🐮! The weather will be warm but bring a layer for after the sun sets. Bring friends and good vibes to celebrate the end of a great year! The fire will last from 8-10 PM. Email [log in to unmask] with any questions.

Saturday:

POC HIKE at Mount Prospect 1pm - 6pm !!!

Come join WOC this Saturday for a hike up to Mount Prospect! Students of color are encouraged to attend this hike and we hope to create a space where all identities feel welcome in the natural environment we plan to explore! We will meet on Paresky steps at 1pm and arrive back at around 6pm. Expect a round trip total of a 5 mile hike with about 1500 ft of elevation gain. Bring a water bottle, a snack, and sturdy walking shoes. Stop by the equipment room if you need hiking boots! Sign up on this list and email [log in to unmask] with any questions!
