WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR 3/5 - 3/8

Hello WOC family!  Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we have going on this week.   All events are open to WOC members. For more information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the equipment room.

Announcements:

The Nate Lowe Climbing Wall:  The wall is open M - Th 8 -10. On Thursday the wall is open to people who don’t identify as Cis- Gender male from 8 -9 and welcomes everyone from 9 -10.  There are lots of new routes and boulder problems for you to try. Come get sendy with us!

WOC Equipment Room:   The Equipment Room will be open M - Th 12:30 -1:30 & F from 12 -2 pm.  Email: [log in to unmask]

Thursday - TONIGHT!!

Kayak Rolling Session 7:30 - 9:00 Come by the indoor pool to learn the basics of kayaking! Learn the basics of kayaking including forward paddle strokes and rolling a full 360 degrees. Open to people of any or no experience. Contact Jared , [log in to unmask] if you have questions!

Friday: 

Weekly sunrise hike wake up and down Pine Cobble (witness sunrise at 6:19 am) Meet on Paresky steps at 6:00 AM.  Dress for the chill and wet, muddy trail,  NEED hiking boots/or snow boots with good tread!! bring extra layers, headlamp,  filled water bottle and a cup for hot drinks.   Return to campus by 8:30AM. Saturday: 

Hike up Mt. Berlin! Join us for a difficult, but rewarding hike up Mt. Berlin. Leaving at 9am and returning by 1pm, the hike is around 5 miles with some significant elevation gain -- we’ll take it slow! Contact Duncan, [log in to unmask] with any questions or to reserve a spot! 

Waterfall Hike ⛰!!!!!!!! Hike to Money Brook Falls on Mt. Greylock this Saturday! The waterfalls will be in full action with the recent snowmelt, so it will be spectacular! It will be a relatively light and enjoyable hike with great views of the falls! Meet the WOC van behind Paresky at 1:30pm. We should be back by 4:00pm at the latest. Sunday: 

Hike south on the famed AT to the Prospect Look out!  Intermediate hike of 4 mi round trip with 1200’ gain of elevation (similar to a Pine Cobble hike) leaving campus at 11:45AM returning by 2pm.  Contact [log in to unmask] to reserve a spot!!
