WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR 11/14- 11/17

Hello WOC family!  Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we have going on this week.   All events are open to WOC members. For more information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the equipment room.

Announcements:

WOC financial aid is available for BEGINNER students interested in learning to ski or snowboard during our Winter Study Ski & Snowboard J-Term PE Class programming ONLY. Please contact [log in to unmask] to register for financial aid BY DEC. 6, 2019!  Three day ski passes, class instruction and rentals are covered under financial aid!

HUNTING SEASON!!

Deer (rifle & shotgun) season has begun in Vermont AND New York:  VT11/16/19 - 12/01/19 NY 11/16-12/08

*if going into the nearby woods…Be aware and A-wear bright colors

MA begins 12/02 - 12/14 (no hunting allowed in MA on Sundays!)

WOC J-TERM Winter PE Ski, Snowboard, Telemark, Nordic ski, Snowshoe Instructors wanted:

The Nate Lowe climbing wall:  Come get sendy with us!  The wall is open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8pm - 10pm (Thursdays from 8-9pm reserved for people who don’t identify as cis-gender male.  All climbers are welcome from 9-10).  

WOC Equipment Room:   The Equipment Room will be open M - Th 12:30 - 1:30 pm & F 12 - 2 pm Email: [log in to unmask]

Kayak Rolling Session 7:30 - 9:00 Come by the indoor pool to learn the basics of kayaking! Learn the basics of kayaking including forward paddle strokes, turning a kayak with and without a paddle, and rolling a full 360 degrees. Open to people of any or no experience. Saturday:

Hike to Cascade Falls and Brunch! Join us for a short hike to Cascade Falls to see a beautiful waterfall and a brunch at a local restaurant. The total hike is 2 miles on flat ground along a beautiful stream. Meet at 10am on Paresky Steps, return at 1:30pm. Email [log in to unmask] to reserve a spot!
