WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR 01/24- 01/29 Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we have going on this week. All events are open to WOC members. For more information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the equipment room. Announcements: Ski shuttle buses will run Friday, Monday and Tuesday - CLASSES END FRIDAY (we will have make up classes for skiing/snowboarding this friday!!) Sign Up for 3rd quarter WOC PE classes through people soft! All classes meet from 1pm - 4pm once a week for 6 weeks. *MONDAY*: WOC winter sampler (skiing, snowshoeing, sledding) *TUESDAY:* Snowshoeing *WEDNESDAY:* Nordic ski Downhill ski *THURSDAY:* Telemark ski Snowboarding Nordic Ski *Friday:* WOC winter sampler (skiing, snowshoeing, sledding) WOC Equipment Room: The Equipment Room is closed Monday 1/28. Regular semester hours begin T-Th 12:30 -1:30 and 12 -2 on Friday. That includes Claiming Williams Day. We have tons of gear to borrow! WOC memberships may be purchased as may Mt. Day or Bamboo T-shirts. Email [log in to unmask] WOC activities: Thursday: Pool Rolling Session 7:30 - 8-30 Come by the indoor pool to learn the basics of kayaking! Learn the basics of kayaking including forward paddle strokes, turning a kayak with and without a paddle, and rolling a full 360 degrees. Open to people of any or no experience. Contact Duncan, [log in to unmask] if you have questions! Friday: Weekly Sunrise Hike (catch the sunrise at 7:14am) - to the summit of Pine Cobble, Meet on Paresky steps at 6:00 AM. Dress for the weather, trail will be snowy, icy and possibly wet! Bring a filled water bottle, headlamp/flashlight and a cup for hot drinks. Return to campus by 8:30AM. Sleds will be provided. In case of bad snow conditions, we will take a walk on Stone Hill instead.
