WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR 10/15 - 10/21

Hello WOC family!  Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we
have going on this week.   All events are open to WOC members. For more
information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the
equipment room.

Announcements:

WOC 2nd quarter PE classes: sign up in people soft to register.  Classes
meet 1 day/week from 1pm - 3:45pm.   Questions? [log in to unmask] Monday:

Tuesday:  Hiking

Thursday:  *Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED certification

*(Red Cross and SOLO admin charges/material costs =$70

   financial aid available upon request)



Mt. Day  T shirts for sale:  WOC has leftover Mt. Day shirts for sale.  Sm,
Md, & Lg shirts are available in Dark Green and there are still a few Light
Green shirts in L.  Bring $10 in cash or check and take home a souvenir of
the finest day of F18.



The Nate Lowe Climbing Wall remains closed:  Due  to renovation work in the
Field House there will be no indoor climbing until future notice.  However,
outdoor climbing trips are planned on 10/20, and 27. Keep an eye on the
outing news and updates for details



WOC Equipment Room:  The Equipment Room is open M-Th 12:30-1:30, & F 12-2.
We have tons of gear to borrow! WOC memberships may be purchased as may Mt.
Day or Bamboo T-shirts. Email [log in to unmask]

WOC activities:

Wednesday:

Hump day hike: up Stone Hill and surrounding forest. Weather dependent,
bring a Goodrich bagel to go for a leaf-peeping sunrise bfast! Contact alm5
to sign up and meet behind Paresky at 6:50am! Bring a warm coat!

Slacklining! Come learn how to slackline or practice your skills! There
will be slacklines up outside of Morgan starting at 4 on Wednesday. All
levels of experience welcome! Weather dependent--will be cancelled if it
rains. Contact Alex (ads4) with any questions.

Friday:

Sunrise Hike (sunrise at 7:11 am) - follow the Golden path of Fall colors
to the summit of Pine Cobble.  Meet on Paresky steps at 6:00 AM.  Dress for
the weather, trail will be slick, muddy and wet!  Bring a water bottle,
headlamp/flashight and a cup for hot drinks.  Return to campus by 8:30AM.

Saturday:

Outdoor Climbing Trip:  Location to be determined by experience and
enthusiasm. We can go to Farley Ledge, Rose Ledge, or Chapel Ledge
depending on interest and sign-ups! Meet at the WOC Equipment Room at 9 am
and return by 5 pm.  Email dhm2 with questions, to sign up, or to request a
destination!

Sunday:

RETURNING for the fall colors to canoe at Grafton lake, NY  Leaving campus
at 12:30pm and returning by 4:30pm (including a visit to the Grafton Peace
Pagoda!)  It’s a great fall paddle on a beautiful small lake! Sign up with

reserve a spot by thursday, 10/18.
