OUTING CLUB WEEKLY CALENDAR 01/09 - 01/13 Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoors events we have going on this week. All events are open to WOC members. For more information on how to join WOC, ask your trip leader or head on down to the equipment room. Announcements: Dead Week Trips: Adirondack winter sampler: Come stay in the gorgeous Adirondacks during dead week (1/29-1/31) and enjoy the winter woods while staying in a cozy (heated) cabin at night. Day activities may include snowshoeing, sledding, snow fort building and nordic skiing. We will have a beginner day trip as well as a more advanced option and encourage people of all levels of winter outdoor experience to come along! Email Owen (oak1) with questions or to sign up. Two night trip to Merck Forest: Ski in three miles to the spacious “Ned’s Place” Cabin near the top of Antone Mountain in Merck forest for a couple days (1/29-1/31) of winter adventures! Intermediate level of cross country skiing required. Email Louisa (lbg2) with questions or to sign up. Thursday night from 9 -10 is reserved for non-CIS men only and all are welcome from 10 -11. Wednesday: Full Moon Night Hike: Meet Max and Owen outside the equipment room (in the basement of paresky) at 9:30pm for a full moon night hike. We will return by 11:00pm. Dress warm! Email oak1 with questions. Thursday: Kayak rolling pool session! Anybody can do a 180 degree roll in a kayak. Want to learn how to roll a kayak 360 degrees? Come to the college pool at 7:30pm - no experience necessary! Bring a bathing suit - see you there! Friday: Need some brain nourishment - endorphins galore after a refreshing Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble: Meet on Paresky steps at 6:00 AM.
