OUTING CLUB EVENTS 4/13 - 4/19
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
WOC executive board applications available outside the WOC office due April 15.
-WOC Wilderness First Aid (WFA) 2 day course will be offered on Sunday, April 19 and Saturday, April 25 from 9AM - 3PM for anyone who has taken this course before and their certification has expired OR about to expire. This course can also be used to re-certify a Wilderness First Responder certification IF not expired by the course completion. Contact Scott ([log in to unmask]) with questions or to reserve a spot. Cost is $50 for WFA or $65 for WFR recertification.
-Still openings in the Thursday WOC climbing PE classes (meet 1 day/week from 1pm - 4pm) If interested contact Dave Ackerson at [log in to unmask] ASAP:
-Equipment Room hours: Equipment room located Paresky level M. Open M-Th 12:30 - 1:30, F 12:00 - 2:00. Bamboo ($15) or Under Armour ($22) t-shirts can be purchased in the Equipment Room during open hours! [log in to unmask]
MONDAY:
- NO CLIMBING due to Purple Key Fair.
TUESDAY:
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe climbing wall Towne Field House 8-10pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)
WEDNESDAY:
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe climbing wall Towne Field House 8-10pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)
THURSDAY:
-Ladies’ Night at the Nate Lowe climbing wall ~ women and other non-male identified people from 8-9. All welcome from 9-10. Towne Field House 8-10pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)
FRIDAY:
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble Meet on Chapin steps at 6:00 AM. Dress for the weather, good hiking shoes (possible wet/muddy trail conditions!) bring a filled water bottle and a cup for hot drinks. Return to campus by 8:30 AM Questions? Contact [log in to unmask]
-Slacklining is Back come to the trees between Morgan and Rt. 2 Friday between 2:30 and 3:30 to learn to slackline with Raja and Max! No experience necessary, all are welcome!
