OUTING CLUB EVENTS 4/9 - 4/12
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-WOC executive board applications available outside the WOC office due April 15.
-WOC Wilderness First Aid (WFA) 2 day course will be offered on Sunday, April 19 and Saturday, April 25 from 9AM - 3PM for anyone who has taken this course before and their certification has expired OR about to expire. This course can also be used to re-certify a Wilderness First Responder certification IF not expired by the course completion. Contact Scott ([log in to unmask]) with questions or to reserve a spot. Cost is $50 for WFA or $65 for WFR recertification.
-Still openings in the Thursday WOC climbing PE classes (meet 1 day/week from 1pm - 4pm) If interested contact Dave Ackerson at [log in to unmask] ASAP:
-Volunteer for WOC Outdoor Outreach! Come help get kids from the Williamstown Youth Center into the outdoors! From 3:00-5:30 for the next four Fridays (excluding April 24th) we will be hiking, snowshoeing, canoeing, and playing games. Bring your enthusiasm and your best capture the flag skills! Contact Hannah at hmb2 for more info.
-Equipment Room hours: Equipment room located Paresky level M. Open M-Th 12:30 - 1:30, F 12:00 - 2:00. Bamboo ($15) or Under Armour ($22) t-shirts can be purchased in the Equipment Room during open hours! [log in to unmask]
THURSDAY:
-Ladies’ Night at the Nate Lowe climbing wall ~ women and other non-male identified people from 8-9. All welcome from 9-10. Towne Field House 8-10pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)
FRIDAY:
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble Meet on Chapin steps at 6:00 AM. Dress for the weather, good hiking shoes/snow boots (possible icy/wet & muddy trail conditions!) bring a filled water bottle and a cup for hot drinks. Return to campus by 8:30 AM Questions? Contact [log in to unmask]
SATURDAY:
-Spring NORDIC skiing!!! Believe it or not.. there's still plenty of snow at Prospect Mt. Nordic Ski center and WOC is taking advantage. Come ski with Hannah Benson and Will Earle - cost is $10 for trail pass ( must be current WOC member to participate) meet at the WOC equipment room at 10AM return to campus by 2PM.

SUNDAY :
- Hike up Berlin Mt and witness the coming spring blooms!! Meeting at 10am in the WOC equipment room return to campus around 1:30. Contact Sarah, smv1, to reserve a spot.
