WOC is pleased to present Williams Winter Carnival 2015 "Snow Place Like Home"

Winter Carnival is Feb 19th, 20th and 21st. Which means there's NO class on Friday!

What better way to celebrate than getting outside?

Take a look at the awesome schedule of events attached to this email. Here are some of the highlights…

Thursday (2/19):

Wizard of Oz-Themed Dinner + A capella, All dining halls

This year’s theme is “Snow Place Like Home,” so head to your favorite dining hall and grab some delicious Wizard of Oz-inspired food! While you munch, listen to some sick beats from various campus a capella groups!

Annual Fireworks Show! Poker Flats, 9pm

Come watch the annual Winter Carnival fireworks extravaganza! This year’s show is sure to be the best yet. Come down to Poker early and grab some cookies (catered by Get Baked!) and hot cocoa by the bonfire!

Friday (2/20):

Mt. Greylock Ski Club! 11am – 4pm

We’ve rented out the nearby Mt. Greylock Ski Club to have a day of winter fun! If you have alpine skis/boards, bring ‘em on up – there are rope tows to get up the slopes. If downhill isn’t your jam, WOC will be there renting out Nordic skis, sleds, tubes, and snowshoes, so you can still have a great time playing in the snow. Even if you aren’t winter-inclined there will be a great tailgate lunch (IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO SIGN UP HERE http://goo.gl/forms/nhyyEhvxuk) and student bands performing around lunchtime. There will be busses leaving from the top of Mission Hill every ½ hour – no personal vehicles are allowed @ Mt. Greylock, so grab some friends and hop on a bus!

Don’t miss out on this one, it’s sure to be a great time and its completely FREE for everyone.

Saturday (2/21):

Snow Sculpture Carving, Paresky Lawn, 12pm-4pm

Think you’ve got what it takes to make a snow masterpiece? Grab some friends, sign up for a snow pile (http://goo.gl/forms/oKnZSmUQTC), and get to work! Dean Dave will be judging the final products, and there will be a prize awarded to the winning team. Even if you aren’t sculpting, come by Paresky lawn to watch – there will be snacks, food, music, and at 3pm – a “meet n’ greet with Toto” featuring all of your favorite professor’s dogs!

Emerald City ACE Gala, Paresky, 10pm – 2am

ACE is throwing the traditional Winter Gala to finish off Winter Carnival right! Come to Paresky dressed in your semi-formal finest and be amazed as we and BigWave Entertainment transform the space into the Emerald City. 10pm-2am! “Snow” better place to party.
