ANNOUNCEMENTS:

-Equipment Room hours: Equipment room located Paresky level M. Open M - Wed 12:30pm - 1:30pm (limited hours due to gear needs for Winter Carnival activities)

MONDAY:
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe climbing wall  Towne Field House 8-10pm (must be a current WOC member or bring $10 to join)

TUESDAY:
-Kayak rolling 7:30-9:00 in the pool. No experience necessary, bring a towel and swimsuit. contact sma2 with questions.

Community Nordic Ski race 4:30pm start:
Taconic Golf course/costumes required!

Annual Fireworks Show! Poker Flats, 9pm (bad weather date - Friday 2/20 at 9pm
Come watch the annual Winter Carnival fireworks extravaganza! This year’s show is sure to be the best yet. Come down to Poker early and grab some cookies (catered by Get Baked!) and hot cocoa by the bonfire!

Friday (2/20):
Mt. Greylock Ski Club! 11am – 4pm
We’ve rented out the nearby Mt. Greylock Ski Club to have a day of winter fun! If you have alpine skis/boards, bring ‘em on up – there are rope tows to get up the slopes. If downhill isn’t your jam, WOC will be there renting out Nordic skis, sleds, tubes, and snowshoes, so you can still have a great time playing in the snow. Even if you aren’t winter-inclined there will be a great tailgate lunch (IMPORTANT: YOU NEED TO SIGN UP HERE http://goo.gl/forms/nhyyEhvxuk) and student bands performing around lunchtime. There will be busses leaving from the top of Mission Hill every ½ hour – no personal vehicles are allowed @ Mt. Greylock, so grab some friends and hop on a bus!
Don’t miss out on this one, it’s sure to be a great time and its completely FREE for everyone.

Saturday (2/21):
Snow Sculpture Carving, Paresky Lawn, 12pm-4pm
Think you’ve got what it takes to make a snow masterpiece? Grab some friends, sign up for a snow pile (http://goo.gl/forms/oKnZSmUQTC), and get to work! Dean Dave will be judging the final products, and there will be a prize awarded to the winning team. Even if you aren’t sculpting, come by Paresky lawn to watch – there will be snacks, food, music, and at 3pm – a “meet n’ greet with Toto” featuring all of your favorite professor’s dogs!

Learn to Alpine Ski 12:30 - 5pm (beginners ONLY)
Bring $25 to pre-register at WOC table, Paresky m-th 11:30- 1:30pm for transport, lift pass, rental and instruction!

Learn to Nordic ski 12:30 - 4pm (beginners ONLY)
Free - pre-register at WOC table, Paresky m-th 11:30- 1:30pm for nordic gear and instruction!

Snow Bike Race 2pm on Paresky lawn

Open Climbing at the Wall 8pm - 10pm

Emerald City ACE Gala, Paresky, 10pm – 2am
ACE is throwing the traditional Winter Gala to finish off Winter Carnival right! Come to Paresky dressed in your semi-formal finest and be amazed as we and BigWave Entertainment transform the space into the Emerald City. 10pm-2am! “Snow” better place to party.
