OUTING CLUB EVENTS 10/7 - 10/15



ANNOUNCEMENTS

-Equipment Room hours are Mon-Th: 12:30pm-1:30PM,
Fri. 12-2PM. Contact Craig at cmb2 for more
information.  Equipment room is CLOSED on the
Friday of Mt. Day.

-Mt. Day t-shirts ON SALE NOW!! Mon- Fri:
11:30am-1:00PM, Paresky - 1st floor tables!  $10

-Interested in a Reading Period backpacking trip?
We’ll be gone from Saturday morning through
Tuesday early afternoon of reading period, hiking in
the beautiful Vermont mountains along the Long
Trail, and -as always- eating delicious foods. Email
aak3 by Tuesday night to reserve a spot!!

IM training on 10/8 &10/15 at 8 pm at the Climbing
Wall.  Please fill out the attached application and
bring it with you to the training. There are also
hard copies outside the WOC office on 2nd floor
Paresky.

MONDAY

-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the
Field House 8-10 pm

TUESDAY

-IM training at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the
Field House. Pick up an application outside the WOC
office or print the one attached to this email!
Training will be 8pm-10pm so sorry, no open climbing
today. Email Dave at da1 or Eloise at eca1 with
questions.

-Polar Bear Swim: join us for a refreshing dip in
the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM.
 Bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel.
Email Scott at stw1 or Miles at mdh1 with questions.

-Stone Hill Campout: Welcome in the New England fall
with a night under the stars! Cow sightings likely,
musical instruments encouraged. Campfire provided.
Meet at the WOC equipment room in Paresky basement
at 10PM to check out any gear necessary before
heading out (must be a current WOC member to check
out gear - otherwise bring $10 to join), return
before classes Wednesday morning. Email Gordon at
gsb1 with questions.

WEDNESDAY

-Weekly WOC meeting 7PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all
members are welcome! Contact Jackson jws2 or Lucie
lmc1 to learn more

THURSDAY

-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the
Field House 8-10 pm

FRIDAY (Mt. Day???)

- IF NOT mt. day….Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble.
Meet on Chapin Steps at 6:10 AM.  Dress for the
weather and bring a water bottle, a headlamp, and a
cup for hot drinks.

SATURDAY

-Reading Period backpacking trips depart. Email AAK3
for more information or to sign up (by Tuesday
night!).

SUNDAY

-Day Hike up Mount Greylock: Get out and enjoy the
beautiful fall colors from the highest point in
Massachusetts. We'll be leaving at 12:30pm and
returning before dinner.

- Canoeing the Housatonic river a classic Fall
paddle!  Come meander for 6 gentle river miles as
we paddle through a beautiful forest of color.
Leaving campus at 1PM returning by 5:30PM Limited
