The Williams Outing Club will once again be offering a fully accredited emergency medical response course under the course catalog heading of LEAD 18.  First year students ARE eligible to take this class

 WOC has contracted with SOLO,  Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (http://www.soloschools.com/ ) to provide an instructor to come to the Williams campus during the upcoming J-Term, 2011.

 The course begins Jan. 3 and ends Jan. 11 - classes will meet from 9am - 4:30pm this includes the weekend and 2 night time rescue scenarios.  Students MUST be able to attend every class - no credit will be given if one class is missed.

 After successful completion of the course, you will be given a Wilderness First Responder certificate, valid for 3 years and CPR certification valid for 2 years.

 This is the gold standard of outdoor adventure travel medical care for camps and guide work.  You will also receive from the Williams College Athletic Dept. 1 PE credit and credit for Winter Study.

 The cost of this course for Williams College students is $450.00
