OUTING CLUB EVENTS 11/15 - 11/21

ANNOUNCEMENTS

-The Leonid Meteor Shower peaks this week! The best viewing will be in the hours before dawn on Wednesday and Thursday. Look for the shower radiating from the constellation Leo after midnight.

-Hunting Season has begun! Be sure to wear bright colors if you go out in the woods. The season dates are Nov 13- Nov 28 in Vermont, Nov 20 – Dec 12 in NY, and Nov 29 – Dec 11 in MA.

-The equipment room is open for regular hours. Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear with your WOC membership card. Open 12:30-1:30PM from Monday-Thursday and 12-2PM and 4:30-5:30 on Fridays.

MONDAY

-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM.

TUESDAY

-Kayak rolling! Come learn to roll a kayak in the college pool, no experience necessary! 7PM - 8:30PM. Email mgb1 if you’re interested.

-Polar Bear Swim; join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM, and don’t forget to bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel. Email Abby at atm1 with questions. 

 -Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall!  8-10 PM in the Field House.

WEDNESDAY

-WOC Social hour; come join the WOC board for snacks and socializing in the Hopkins Forest cabin. Meet on Pareksy steps at 6:45 to catch a van ride over there.

THURSDAY

-Come see Warren Miller's ski and snowboarding film Wintervention in Pittsfield! We will leave campus around 8pm in time for the 9pm screening. Tickets are $21. Email Sarah at saw4 with to reserve a spot in the van -- space is limited!

 FRIDAY

-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble!  Meet at Chapin Steps at 6AM, we will return to campus by 8:45AM.

SATURDAY

-Hike Mount Tom near Holyoke, MA and see some fossils of dinosaur footprints!  We will leave Williams at 10am and return by 4:30pm, Email Lisa at lmm1 for more information.

-Midnight Moonlight Howl; gather at 11:50 on Chapin lawn to celebrate the Snow Moon.

SUNDAY

-Lead Climbing Clinic and Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 3-5 PM. Email es2 for more information.
