Below are our events for the week of 1/18/10 – 1/24/10:



ANNOUNCEMENTS



The Winter Study equipment room hours are weekdays 12-2pm, Saturday 10am -
12pm.  Check out some cross-country skis, snowshoes, or sleds!  Just return
them by 1pm the next day for the PE classes.

MONDAY

-   Martin Luther King Day!  No ski buses to Jiminy Peak.



TUESDAY

-     Polar Bear Swim, come for a refreshing dip in the Green River!  Meet
on Paresky steps at 10PM and don’t forget to bring warm clothes and a towel.

-     Kayak rolling is back 7pm – 8:30pm in the pool - come and go as you
please!

-     Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall. Hours are 7-9 PM in the Field
House.



WEDNESDAY

-   Sports and Journalism Brown Bag Lunch with Bob Nutting 12:30 -2:00 PM in
Weston 10.  Meet Bob, Chairman of the Board and Principal Owner of the
Pittsburgh Pirates and President/CEO of Ogden Newspapers, Inc. and discuss
athletics and the newspaper industries. Bob is also an avid fisherman, skier
and conservationist.

-     WOC weekly meeting; 7 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are
welcome!  Contact Ali at 10ahd to know more.

-     Singer-song writer and nature enthusiast Dar Williams performs in
Goodrich Hall 8 PM.



THURSDAY

-   Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall from 7 – 9 PM in the Field House



FRIDAY

-     Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble.  Meet at Chapin Steps at 6:00AM, we will
return to campus by 8:45AM

-   World renowned explorer MIKAEL STRANDBERG visits Williams!  7 PM in
Books Rogers, Mikael will be sharing his story of his amazing 2004 ski and
canoe expedition along the Kolyma River in North Eastern Siberia, globally
hailed as one of the coldest explorations in history!  DON'T MISS THIS GREAT

SATURDAY

-  Staff Appreciation Day! 1-4 PM Hopkins Forest.  All Williams staff are
invited for an afternoon of nature art, games, hot chocolate, snowshoeing
and snowman building!

-   Snowshoe race at Greylock Glen!  Contact Jon at 10jll_2 if interested.



SUNDAY

-   Advanced snowshoe race at Greylock Glen!  Contact Jon at 10jll_2 if
interested.
