Hi WOC,

Winter Carnival is here! In addition to the ski races today and
tomorrow at Jiminy and Prospect, there are a lot of great things
happening around campus that you should take part in. Events today
include:

Ice Skating (11am-3pm, Lansing rink)
Free skate at the hockey rink; skates are available to borrow at no charge.

Dog Sled Ride (12:30-4:30pm, Poker Flats)
Pretty much self-explanatory as the best event ever and totally worth
walking to Poker Flats! Get pulled around by a team of real dogs on a
sled (with wheels if there is no snow), what could be more fun? No
driving skills required, hope to see you there! Even if you weren't
able to sign up for a slot, we hope to be able to accommodate
walk-ons, so definitely come anyway.

Indoor Games and Food (11am-2pm, Paresky)
Play board games including Taboo and telephone pictionary, throw
things at candy cane mobiles, eat yummy cookies, and basically just
hang out in Paresky for a break from winter weather!

Olympic WAH Tournament (1pm-2pm, Chapin Steps)
Do you know what Olympians do in their spare time? They play Wah.
Come play some intense head-to-head singles Wah on Chapin steps at
1:00 pm and be a true Olympian.

EPHditarod / Human Dogsledding (1pm-2pm, Paresky Lawn)
Compete in human dogsled races with teams of five, or just drop by to
observe the hilarity.

Snowball Biathlon (2pm-3pm, Paresky Lawn)
Test your aim in this fun and exciting race of speed and skill! Bring
your own ski equipment if possible; We will provide a limited number
of skis, poles, and boots. If snow is lacking, we will host a running
biathlon!

Winter Carnival Tricycle Race (3-4pm, Paresky sidewalk)
Grab a bike, grab your friends, and come to Paresky for the trike race
today at 3 PM. Teams of 3 people will be racing around the freshman
quad (each team needs a bike); a sweet prize awaits the winning team.
Costumes are highly encouraged!

Human Curling (3-4pm, Lansing rink)
The smash hit from last year's Carnival returns. You won't want to
miss this. Sponsored by Spencer Neighborhood.

Opening Ceremonies (8pm, Paresky Center)
Celebrate Winter Carnival and the VanCOWver Ephlympics with the
lighting of the torch and skits by the alpine and nordic ski teams.

BSU Ruby Lounge (8-10pm) / Red Velvet Party (10-2am) (Goodrich)

Williams After Dark - Ice Skating w/ DJ (10pm-11:30pm) (Lansing rink)
