HooRWA’s Final Work Day for the Linear Link Trail

We are pleased to report that the Student Conservation Association and
HooRWA volunteers have completed most of the work on the Linear Link
Trail. The difficult section through the knotweed is now a wide, dry trail
with gradual walkways and steps in the steep sections.

But we need one final push to finish construction before cold weather. We
invite volunteers to help out on Saturday, November 6. We will meet at Linear
Park playground at 9:00AM - off of Water St.. The particular tasks we will
need to complete will be to set seven more steps and to scrape-and-fill
several areas where the trail slopes too much for comfortable footing.
Mattocks and shovels would be the most useful tools. We should be able to
finish most of this work by noon.

If you can help us out, please respond to [log in to unmask] so we know how
many workers to expect.
