Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoor events we
have going on this week. All events are open to the Williams College
community.

Announcements

How to handle frogs and salamanders you might encounter while outdoors!
Springtime in the Berkshires means that amphibians are out and about, and
Darren Wang from the Hopkins Forest Educator Program has created an amazing
informational video to explain the proper handling techniques if you
encounter these animals! Be sure to check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnpCoVtH0LY&t=100s

Interested in leading WOC trips???

Fill out this form <https://forms.gle/WeRHMJGBYZc21ru77> to get connected
with WOC’s trip leader program! There will be an info session shortly to
talk through the trip leading process and meet some other folks that are
interested in putting trips on WOC’s calendar. We’d love to gauge interest
and extend our leader community for the spring! Email Rachel at
[log in to unmask] with any questions!!

The WOC Equipment Room will be open M, W, Th, & F by appointment only. Hours
will be 12 -2 and The Equipment Room is open to all members of the Williams

NESCAC Outing Club Virtual Speaker Event - Day Scott

Come join us Tuesday, April 20th at 7pm as we welcome Day Scott for our
first intercollegiate virtual speaker event, followed by a Q&A session.

As a certified naturalist, wildlife photographer, writer and environmental
educator, Day's connection with nature has afforded her unique
opportunities to take candid and brilliant wildlife shots. Her photography
has been recognized by many, including Discovery and BBC America. Today,
she lives in beautiful Wyoming, recovering from a traumatic brain injury.
During her healing journey, she's discovered a voice for storytelling, an
affinity for birds and the bravery to stand out and dare greatly through it
all. Check out her site here <http://thewildernessgoddess.com/> and find
more event info here
