Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoor events we have
going on this week. All events are open to the Williams College community.


Announcements

Two-night backpacking trip on the AT! Please fill out this form

to sign up for a spot for a two-night WOC backpacking trip on the AT. You
must be available from 2pm on Friday 9/30 to 12pm on Sunday 10/2. If more
people sign up than there are spots available you will be put on a
waitlist. Previous backpacking experience is a must. This trip will be at
an intermediate difficulty. Email bp8 with questions.



Mountain Day Hike Leaders Wanted: Already psyched for Mountain Day? We are
too, and we’re looking for excited folks to lead the hikes! You should have
a current wilderness first aid cert, and need to attend a brief 45  minute
hike leader meeting on Sunday, 10/02 at 7:30PM, Paresky Auditorium.
Leaders must be available for each of the first three Fridays of October 7,
14, 21.  You’ll get a free Mountain Day leader tee shirt in return! Please

Climbing Wall open!  There will be open climbing from 8 - 10 pm at the Nate
Lowe Climbing Wall in the Towne Field House.  No experience necessary.  All
equipment provided.



Wednesday:

Climbing Wall open!  There will be open climbing from 8 - 10 pm at the Nate

Thursday:



Climbing Wall open!  Non cis-male climbing from 8 - 9 pm!  From 9 - 10
there will be open climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall. No experience
necessary.  All equipment provided.



Slacklining! Join us to explore one of the gems of the WOC equipment room—
slacklines! We’ll meet on Paresky steps at 4pm, find a spot to set up and
spend some time practicing our skills. No experience required. Please

Rose Ledge Rock Climbing Bouldering Trip

We’ll be bringing pads out to a couple of different boulders at Rose Ledge
and climbing on them! No experience necessary! Meet at the WOC equipment
room at 9 AM to check equipment before loading up on a college van for the
drive to Rose Ledge. The drive will be about an hour and a half each way.
Expect to return around 5 PM. Wear stretchy clothes and dress for the
weather. Expect about a mile of walking to get to the crag. Bring a lunch,
a full water bottle (or two), and climbing shoes if you have them! If not,
they will be provided. Please sign up on this form
