going on this week. All events are open to the Williams College community.

MOUNTAIN DAY????  Coming on a beautiful Fall friday!!  see attached
schedule - Bells will ring at 7AM the day of to declare the day Mountain
Day!!!!!

Sunday:

Greylock Adventure: Get outside during reading period on a long hike at
Mount Greylock State Reservation! For this trip, plan on a 10-13 mile
strenuous hike to get your blood pumping. We’ll be meeting on paresky steps
at 9:00am and returning by 4:00pm. On this trip we’ll hopefully see
waterfall(s), beautiful leaves and plenty of scenic vistas. Please bring
good hiking shoes, extra layers for the summit, two water bottles, and a
day pack. Also, be sure to stop by the WOC equipment room for any equipment
you may need. Please sign up on this form

Sunset/Full Moon Hike  We will head to Jones’ Nose on the Greylock
Reservation to catch the sunset at 6:19 and the moonrise at 6:29.  We’ll
then hike to Rounds Rock for some more great views and some moonbathing
before returning via a different trail.  Total distance 2.5 miles.  The
trip will leave at 5:15 and return around 8:30.  Sturdy closed toe shoes,
extra warm clothing, a water bottle, a headlamp, and a pack to carry it all
are required.  Please stop by the WOC Equipment Room (see above) to get
outfitted before Sunday.  Sign up here

Canoe the Sherman Reservoir!!  A beautiful Fall "lake" paddle in Vermont -
40 min drive from Campus.  Leaving at 10AM return at 1:30pm - space

Hike among the Big Trees! This special Reading Period hike will go to the
Mohawk Trail State Forest where we will wander amongst the tallest trees in
New England interspersed with open meadows and huge boulders.  Total walk
around 3.5 miles with some hills.  We’ll leave campus at 2 pm and return by
6.  A perfect break from studying!  Sign up here

Climbing Wall open!  There will be open climbing from 8 - 10 pm at the Nate
Lowe Climbing Wall in the Towne Field House.  No experience necessary.  All
equipment provided.
