Hello Climbers!  If you have been enjoying our climbing wall facilities by coming 
to open hours, perhaps you would be interested in taking your level of 
involvement in our climbing program to the next level.  Here are some reasons 
you may wish to become an Instructor/Monitor: 

1. IM's have the ability to open the climbing wall outside of regular hours. 

2. IM's allow the wall to be open longer for regular hours and help to introduce 
more students to the activity. 

3. IM's also have access to our 5.10 pro deal.  This allows for the purchase of 
sweet climbing shoes at about half the regular price! 

4. IM's are more deeply involved with the climbing community.  As a result, they 
will be aware of more climbing opportunities in the form of competitions, 
bouldering outings, weekend trips, as well as trips to visit other gymnasiums. 

5. IM's are permitted to help set routes.  This allows for a deeper understanding 
of indoor climbing, participation in a fun creative art, and the expansion of our 
existing set of routes. 

WOC will be offering IM training sessions on Monday, October 26th and 
Monday, November 2nd from 7 - 9pm (open wall hours will be canceled).  It is 
necessary to attend both sessions to become certified, however special 
arrangements can be made.  Applications will be available outside of the WOC 
office starting this Monday.  No experience outside of climbing at our wall is
