Should you represent the climbing community on the Executive Board of the Williams Outing Club?  If you are a fun, enthusiastic, creative, and capable student with experience in climbing and other outdoor activities, a desire to share your experience with others, and a hope of fostering a deeper sense of community among the Club and campus at large, then the answer is an emphatic yes! 

Anyone interested in representing the climbing department of the Williams Outing Club Board for Spring 2012 and beyond is invited to apply.  The WOC Board serves as Williams’ main conduit to the outdoors, co-coordinating Mountain Day, Winter Carnival and WOOLF, as well as leading various trips such as canoeing, hiking, kayaking, fly-fishing, climbing, sledding, skiing, snowboarding, backpacking and many others. 

Applications may be picked up outside the WOC office door in Paresky and are due back at the WOC office door by 4:00 Monday, January 23.  Applicants will be contacted to schedule a student interview once applications are received.

Applicants to the Board must possess significant experience in the outdoors, the time necessary to make a significant contribution to the Club, and for overnight trips possess the WOC Mountain Guide certification or be willing to get it.  Additionally, applicants should consider how they might serve the climbing department.
