OUTING CLUB EVENTS 3/4-3/10

ANNOUNCEMENTS
-The Equipment Room is open 12:30 - 1:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 12 - 2 pm Friday and, weather contingent, 10-12 AM on Saturday . Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear with your WOC membership card.  If you are not yet a member, you can purchase a membership ($10 for students) in the Equipment Room. Due to PE classes and increased general demand all Winter Toys are due the following business day on M-Th & Sa.

-Robert Ikemori Quay ‘04 Outing Club Memorial Fellowship.  Established in 2006 by family and friends of Bob Quay, class of 2004. To be awarded to an underclassman or senior committed to combining a sense of community service with enhancing accessibility to the local wilderness trails of Berkshire County. The stipend award of $2,500 will support the work of one student acting as a crew leader for trail projects identified by the Williams Outing Club.  The seven week position begins July 8 and ends August 23, 2013.  Applications can be picked up outside the WOC office, 2nd floor Paresky  Completed applications must be returned by Friday, March 8 - 4pm

MONDAY
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM

TUESDAY
-Polar Bear Swim join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM.  Bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel. Email Miles at mdh1 with questions.

WEDNESDAY
-Weekly WOC meeting 7 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are welcome!  Contact Noah at nlw4 or Gabe at gml1 to learn more. 
-Presentation on the Manice Education Center 8 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, immediately following the WOC meeting. Learn about a summer job opportunity in the Berkshires, working as an outdoor educator with New York City youth. Email Eloise at eca1 with questions.

-Kayak Rolling in the pool! Come learn to eskimo roll and hand roll from 7-9 PM

FRIDAY
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble! Meet at 6 AM on Chapin Steps. We’ll be back to campus by 8:45AM. Don’t forget to bring layers, a water bottle, and a cup for hot cocoa and/or tea! 
-’80s Climbing Night: Join us from 8:30-11:00 at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall! Wear your craziest ‘80s clothes, listen to ‘80s music and CLIMB! Pizza will be provided.

SATURDAY
-Sunset Hike up Mount Greylock: Meet at 4 PM on Chapin steps to watch the sunset from the top of Greylock! Contact wck1 with questions.
