Hello WOC family!  Come check out some of the awesome outdoor events we
have going on this week. All events are open to the Williams College


Mountain Day Hike Leaders Wanted: Already psyched for Mountain Day? We are
too, and we’re looking for excited folks to lead the hikes! You should have
a current wilderness first aid cert, and need to attend a brief 45  minute
hike leader meeting on Sunday, 09/26 at 7:30PM, Paresky Auditorium.
Leaders must be available for each of the first three Fridays of October 1,
8, 15.  You’ll get a free Mountain Day leader tee shirt in return! Please

Mountain Day T-Shirt Design Contest!!!!!!!!!!! Whether you’re seeking
eternal fame and glory, or you just love the mountains, here’s your chance
to shine! Submit your custom design (just the front, only one color) for
this year’s Mountain Day T-Shirt. Please drop them off at the WOC office
(second floor Paresky) OR email submissions to Audrey, [log in to unmask] by
11pm on Saturday, September 18th.

outside? Do you want to know if any random or spontaneous adventures are
happening in the moment? Or do you want to get the most up to date info

The WOC Equipment Room will be open by appointment only.  Hours are
12:30-1:30pm (M-Th) and 12-2pm (Fri). The Equipment Room is open to all WOC
members.  Please go to this appointment schedule
and sign up for a slot.  Be prepared to show a “CLEARED” status on your
CoVerified App when you come for your appointment.  Equipment is due back
one week later so sign up for that appointment also.

to give us feedback on COVID-19 precautions and how things went? Fill out

Fire at Poker Flats!! Are you looking for a chill way to spend part of your
Friday night? Do you really enjoy fire? Well then, come hang out at the
little campfire behind the tennis courts on Poker Flats from 8:30 pm -
10:00 pm on Friday night! There will be fire and vibes, feel free to bring
an instrument if you are so inclined or just bring yourself! Email

WOC 101: Beginner Oriented Hike to Kite Hill

Enjoy a beautiful and beginner oriented hike to Kite Hill to catch some
stunning mountain views in a meadow! We will be using the stunning Stone
Hill trail system behind the Clark Museum. This is about 4.5 miles total
and has a very gradual elevation gain of about 500 feet. While we encourage
beginners, this is open to anyone who wants to get outside this Saturday
morning!! Meet at Paresky steps at 9 AM and return to campus at ~11:30 AM.

Beginner Climbing Night!

Want to learn to rock climb? Come by the wall between 7-9pm to learn from
our instructor-monitors and hang out with friends! Email Isabel (

to reserve a spot for either 7-8pm or 8-9pm!


Morning (ish) hike up Buxton Ravine

Have you ever looked down route 2 and thought: hey, I wonder where that
road ends up going? Well, Buxton Ravine is one possible answer! Meet at Paresky
Steps at 9am on Sunday for a roughly 2.5 hour long, possibly muddy,
moderate hike with an elevation gain of a bit over 1000 ft. and a small
river crossing. Email Justyn ([log in to unmask]) with any questions and sign
