WOC-ly OUTING CLUB CALENDAR

Hello WOC family! Come check out some of the awesome outdoor events we have
going on this week. All events are open to the Williams College community.

Beginning Wednesday 9/14 the WOC Equipment Room will be open.  M – Th,
12—1:30 PM, &  F 12–2 pm.

Monday:



Tuesday:

Climbing Wall open!  There will be open climbing from 8 - 10 pm at the Nate
Lowe Climbing Wall in the Towne Field House.  No experience necessary.  All
equipment provided.



Slug Spotting!  Are classes already too busy? Take a break from studying
and come look for the best gastropods: land slugs! Meet at the top of
Mission Hill at 4pm. Bring clothes appropriate for standing in the rain
for around half an hour (such clothes are available for borrowing in the
equipment room). Email Abby Kinney (ack3) with any questions. (An actual
sighting of a real, live slug is not guaranteed)



Wednesday:

Thursday:

Afternoon Stone Hill Walk  Need a quick study during the first full week of
classes? Hoping to spot some cows? Come enjoy the fall weather on Thursday
afternoon with a ~2 mile walk on well paved road to well maintained gravel
and dirt trails! We’ll leave from Paresky steps at 5pm for a refreshing
walk to Stone Hill. Email Isabel ([log in to unmask]) with any

Climbing Wall open!  Non cis-male climbing from 8 - 9 pm!  From 9 - 10
there will be open climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall. No experience
necessary.  All equipment provided.



Friday:

Weekly sunrise hike– a “wake up” and down trek on Pine Cobble. Meet on
Paresky steps at 6:00 AM for a dawn good sunrise hike - (sunrise at
5:25AM). This is a 3 mile hike round trip, one thousand foot elevation gain
to get your blood flowing and endorphins coursing through your veins!!
Dress for the weather -  and good footwear for a trail that will be muddy,
wet and always rocky!  Bring a filled water bottle and a cup for hot
drinks.  Return to campus by 8:30AM. Please sign up on this form

Saturday:

Morning Mount Berlin Hike!

Join us for spectacular views at Berlin Mountain on a 5.5 mile hike through
the Empire State! This hike has an elevation gain of ~1200 feet and will
definitely get your blood flowing and is a great way to enjoy the beginning
of fall! Meet at Paresky at 9:00 AM and return to campus around 1:00 PM. Be
sure to bring a water bottle and a snack if you wish, as well as good
hiking shoes since it might be muddy! If you need any equipment (like
