OUTING CLUB EVENTS 4/8 - 4/14

ANNOUNCEMENTS
-The Equipment Room is open 12:30 - 1:30 PM Monday-Thursday, and 12 - 2 pm Friday. Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear with your WOC membership card.  If you are not yet a member, you can purchase a membership ($10 for students) in the Equipment Room. 
-2013-2014 WOC Board Applications: Are you an outdoor enthusiast willing to share your skills, passion, and time to promote outdoor events and activities at Williams? Apply to be on the WOC Board for the 2013-2014 academic year!  Lean more about the responsibilities and fun that come along with being a WOC Board member by picking up an application on the bulletin board outside of the WOC office or opening the attachment. Applications are due by Friday, April 12. Email Noah at nlw4 with any questions!

MONDAY
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM

TUESDAY
-Ice Cream Social: Thinking about applying for WOC Board? Want to hear about upcoming trips? Just like ice cream?  Come to our ice cream social on Paresky steps from 3-5 PM! Rain location: upstairs Paresky.
-Woodcock Walk: head to Hopkins Forest to learn about the secretive American Woodcock. Meet on paresky steps at 7:30, email Scott at stw1 with questions or to reserve a spot.
-Polar Bear Swim: join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM.  Bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel. Email Scott at stw1 with questions. 
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM

WEDNESDAY
-Weekly WOC meeting: 7 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are welcome!  Contact Noah at nlw4 or Gabe at gml1 to learn more.

FRIDAY
-Sunrise Hike Up Pine Cobble! Meet on Chapin Steps at 6 AM.  Bring layers, a water bottle, a headlamp, and a cup for hot drinks. 
-WOC Board Applications Due Today

SATURDAY
-Tuckerman Ravine Ski Trip: Don’t put away your skis yet!  WOC is holding a trip to Mt. Washington to ski the famous Tuckerman Ravine on April 12 and 13.  Participants must be expert skiers and physically fit enough to carry skis up a mountain.  The trip will leave Saturday morning and return to campus Sunday evening.  Cost for the trip is $25.  Email Gabe at gml1 or Jackson at jws2 for more details. 
-Sunset Hike: Meet at 5:15 on Chapin steps.  We will be going along the Taconic Crest Trail to the white rocks.  We will return to campus by 9:15. Bring a headlamp, warm layers, and snacks! E-mail epr1 with any questions.
-Volunteer at Manice Education Center: Manice Education Center, an outdoor education center located next to Savoy Mountain State Forest, needs our help preparing for their summer programs. This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and help out the local community. We will be meeting at 9 AM on Paresky Steps. Lunch will be provided and we will return to campus in the mid-afternoon. Email Eloise at eca1 for more details.
-BBBBB (Bike to Bennington for Brunch at the Blue Benn)! - leaving from Paresky steps at 8 AM.  BYOB - bring your own bike.  26 mile round-trip (with food halfway, don’t forget $ for your brunch!).  Contact Lucie at lmc1 if interested.
