OUTING CLUB EVENTS 2/25-3/3

ANNOUNCEMENTS
-The Equipment Room is open 12:30 - 1:30 PM Monday-Thursday, 12 - 2 pm Friday and, weather contingent, 10-12 AM on Saturday . Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear with your WOC membership card.  If you are not yet a member, you can purchase a membership ($10 for students) in the Equipment Room. Due to PE classes and increased general demand all Winter Toys are due the following business day on M-Th & Sa.  

MONDAY
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM
-Full Moon Snowshoe Come explore Savoy Mt. State Forest and climb Spruce Hill under a full moon.  We’ll meet at the WOC Equipment Room at 7 pm. Contact stw1 for more information or to sign up.

TUESDAY
-Polar Bear Swim join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM.  Bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel. Email Miles at mdh1 with questions.
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM

WEDNESDAY
-Weekly WOC meeting 7 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are welcome!  Contact Noah at nlw4 or Gabe at gml1 to learn more.

THURSDAY
-Open Climbing at the Nate Lowe Climbing Wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM
-Kayak Rolling in the pool! Come learn to eskimo roll and hand roll from 7-9 PM

FRIDAY
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble! Meet at 6AM on Chapin Steps. We’ll be back to campus by 8:45AM. Don’t forget to bring layers, a water bottle, and a cup for hot cocoa and/or tea!

SATURDAY
-REEL ROCK film showing (with pizza!) in Bronfman Auditorium at 7:30 PM!!! Take your inspiration to the climbing wall after at open climbing 9-11. Contact smv1 for more information.
-Trail Running: Meet at 2 on Chapin steps.  Contact wck1 with questions.

SUNDAY

Interviews the following day
We are looking for current sophomores, juniors and seniors (age 20 or older by June 2013) to lead overnight Outdoor Adventure/Community Service trips in New England, Quebec, Montana, Oregon, Washington, California, Puerto Rico & Europe this summer.
Successful candidates are responsible and dynamic.  Our leaders thrive on challenge, love the outdoors, and enjoy working with young people.  At Apogee, we focus on building confidence, character and community-mindedness through adventure travel and service.  We offer outdoor adventure travel to students between the ages of 12-18 throughout the United States and beyond. Our activities include bicycle touring, hiking & backpacking, community service, sea kayaking, surfing, & rafting.  Leading with Apogee presents an outstanding opportunity to inspire young people and realize your own leadership potential.
