OUTING CLUB EVENTS 10/1 - 10/9

ANNOUNCEMENTS
-The Equipment Room is open 12:30-1:30 PM on Monday-Thursday and 11-1 PM on Friday. Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear with your WOC membership card.  If you are not yet a member, you can purchase a membership ($10 for students) in the equipment room.

MONDAY
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8:00-10:00 PM
       
TUESDAY     
-Outdoor Meditation: Come to the first ever WOC/Meditation Society outdoor meditation! Start the day off feeling peaceful.  Meet in front of Paresky at 7:30 AM on Tuesday morning.  If the weather is rainy, the event will move to Wednesday morning.  Email wck1 with any questions.
-Polar Bear Swim: join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on Paresky steps at 9 PM, and don’t forget to bring warm clothes, a flashlight, and a towel. Email Scott at stw1 with questions.
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8:00-10:00 PM

WEDNESDAY
-Weekly WOC meeting 7 PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are welcome!  Contact Noah at nlw4 or Gabe at gml1 to learn more
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8:00-10:00 PM
-Weekly Stonehill Camp Out and Stargazing (weather permitting): meet outside the WOC office in Paresky at 10:00 PM, bring (or check out) a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, headlamp, water, and extra warm clothes. Contact Muzhou at ml4 with questions.

THURSDAY
-Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8:00-10:00 PM  
-Super Storytime: WOC is teaming up with Storyboard to bring you a night of adventure stories, complete with cookies and a bonfire!  8 - 10 PM, at the fire pit by Poker Flats.

FRIDAY
-Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble!  Meet at Chapin Steps at 6 AM. We will return to campus by 8:45AM.
-Potentially Mountain Day!!

SATURDAY:
-Start of Reading Period!  
-Adirondack Backpacking: Craving beautiful fall color, mountain vistas, and relaxing solitude? Crave no more--WOC will be offering not one but TWO backpacking trips in the Adirondacks over Reading Period, one to the less-visited Dix Range and another to the gorgeous Great Range. The trips will head out Saturday morning (10/6), returning by dinnertime on Monday (10/8). Cost will be around $15/person. Previous hiking experience is highly recommended as mileage will be substantial. E-mail Gordon (gsb1) to sign up, indicating your trip preference if you have one, by Monday at 9 PM.

SUNDAY
-BBBBB (Bike to Bennington for Brunch at the Blue Benn)!: leaving from Paresky steps at 8 AM.  BYOB - bring your own bike.  26 mile round-trip (with food halfway, don’t forget $ for your brunch!).  Contact Lucy at ljb1 or Lucie at lmc1 if interested.
-Local Backpacking Overnight: Will and Kat will be leading a local one-night overnight trip from Sunday 10/7-Monday 10/8, leaving around 10 AM.  We’re starting at Clarendon Gorge and ending at Green Wall.  Gonna be awesome, and the food will be amazing!  E-mail kaa3.

MONDAY
-Day Hike: Join Sonja and Will on a day hike! Meeting on Paresky steps at 9:30 AM, returning mid-afternoon.  Bring a water bottle and your lunch!  E-mail wck1 with questions or to sign up.
     
TUESDAY
