Hey WOC! Check out the events for this week (9/13/10-9/18/10) below: 

ANNOUNCEMENTS
- The equipment room is open! Visit us in Paresky basement to check out gear 
with your WOC membership card. Open 12:30-1:30PM -Tuesday-Thursday and 
12-2PM Friday.
- Mountain Day is closer than you think! Submit a design for the Mountain Day 
T-shirt contest in the envelope outside the WOC office by noon on September 
21st. The winner will get a free shirt!

TUESDAY
- Polar Bear Swim; join us for a refreshing dip in the Green River.  Meet on 
Paresky steps at 9 PM, and don’t forget to bring warm clothes and a towel.

- Stone Hill campout; meet in Paresky Lobby at 10PM to spend a night beneath 
stars on Stone Hill. Snacks and music are included! We’ll be back in time for 
classes Wednesday morning. Email Dan at drw1if you have any questions. 
- Guest Speaker; Come to physics 114 at 4:30PM to hear Darren Gravely talk 
about  natural disasters, geology, and doing exciting field work in New 
Zealand. Email drw1 for more information.  
- Purple key fair; come visit WOC at the Purple Key Fair in the Field House 
between 6:30-8PM. The Nate Lowe wall will be open for climbing! 
 
WEDNESDAY
- Weekly WOC dinner: Come to Paresky at 6PM to eat dinner and hang out 
with other outdoor enthusiasts. Bring your food (and good stories!) up to the 
fireplace on the second floor.  
- Weekly WOC meeting; 7PM in Schapiro Hall 141, all members are welcome!

THURSDAY
- Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall in the Field House! 8-10 PM.

FRIDAY
- Sunrise Hike up Pine Cobble!  Meet at Chapin Steps at 6AM, we will return to 
campus by 8:45AM.
- Outdoor Outreach Hike; Get outside and have fun with kids from the 
Williamstown Youth Center!  3:30-6:30 PM. Contact Chandler at ces1 for more 
information. 

SATURDAY
- Day Hike to Money Brook; Meet at the WOC office at 10AM to go on a hike 
and check out a sweet waterfall. Email Gordon at gsb1 for details. 

SUNDAY
- Day Hike; Meet on Paresky steps at 10AM to go on a short hike in the local 
area. Email Grace at ggm1 for more info. 
- Open climbing at the Nate Lowe wall!  Hours are 3-5 PM in the Field House.
